The younger cousin of the original establishment on Decatur Boulevard, this Arizona Charlie's hotel and casino caters to local gamblers on the eastside, about 10 minutes from downtown. Here, too, the emphasis is on going for the gold in the casino, where you'll find almost 1,100 machines and a variety of table games. There's also a full-service race and sports book, plus a 24-hour bingo parlor, which has 500 seats.
Arizona Charlie's also has more than 300 guest rooms (many of which are suites, all of which are outside access), an RV park with full hook-ups and a private clubhouse, and plenty of free entertainment.
The Palace Grand Lounge features smooth, soulful sounds in the afternoons, then picks up the tempo for dancing in the evenings.
Charlie's is known for its meal deals, too. The Sourdough Café serves family-style portions (locals like the breakfast specials), while the Wild West Buffet offers all you can eat. For a more upscale dining experience, the steaks are always great at the Yukon Grille.
