Las Vegas Excalibur Hotel and Casino

Excalibur Hotel and Casino

Overview

The Excalibur Hotel transports you back to the mythical days of King Arthur- mythical draw bridges, castle turrets, and shining armor. This "marvel of modern imagination" recreates the magic of medieval times with the "Tournament of Kings Dinner Show," and the Canterbury Wedding Chapels inside a hotel-casino complete with modern luxury amenities.

The Fantasy Faire Midway features medieval-themed games, Magic Motion simulator rides, an arcade and dozens of shops and restaurants.

An invitation to dine at King Arthur's table is a time-tested tradition of the highest of honors. And, at the "Tournament of Kings" dinner show, an original music production adapted from the legend of King Arthur, you can feast on a three-course meal in a theater-in-the-round, where jousting knights on horseback battle dragons, evil wizards and each other to save damsels in distress. If the meal on the plate is entertainment enough, try the equally medieval Steakhouse at Camelot, Sherwood Forest Cafe or RoundTable Buffet. Dick's Last Resort is the latest addition to Excalibur with its zany wait staff and deliciously messy cuisine.

The Canterbury Wedding Chapels provide fairytale nuptials in two ornate chapels with cathedral-style vaulted ceilings, stained glass windows and arched entrances. The bride and groom can even re-enact the wedding of Arthur and Guinevere dressed in authentic attire.

Before you tie the knot, why not treat your bridesmaids to the steamy "Thunder From Down Under." Australia's all-male revue takes its armor off nightly in Merlin's Theater. Finally, treat yourself like royalty with many relaxing options; choose room service in one of nearly 4,000 guest rooms, pamper yourself in the Royal Treatment Spa & Fitness Center, lounge by the pool or take advantage of the free blackjack lessons in the casino. Excalibur is also one of the few hotels that offers PokerPro tables. These automated poker tables allow for faster play and more people per table. Experience the newest sensation in Poker. There is nothing medieval about that.

El Cortez Hotel and Casino

El Cortez Hotel and Casino

Casino Information

Overview

Miss the old Vegas? Welcome to the El Cortez hotel and casino, which keeps the spirit of downtown Las Vegas in the '40s and '50s very much alive.

Built in 1941 and once owned by Bugsy Siegel, the historic building's Spanish-style architecture thankfully hasn't changed much over the years. The second lasting influence is Jackie Gaughan, who bought the property in 1963 and has directly overseen its value-driven mission - "give the customer a good deal and he'll come back" - ever since. In fact, don't be surprised if you run into the 83-year-old owner - he shows up in the casino almost daily.

Jackie's deals for his customers include inexpensive rooms, low-limit tables and slots, and bargain meals (especially if you're a slot-club member) at The Flame Steakhouse. There's also a remodeled race and sports book in the 41,000-square-foot casino, an inexpensive ice cream shop on the second floor, a coffee shop called Café Cortez, a beauty shop and a wonderful old-school barbershop.

The El Cortez, just a block to the east of the Fremont Street Experience, has over 250 rooms.

Eastside Cannery Casino Hotel

Eastside Cannery Casino Hotel

Overview

The Eastside Cannery is the second Cannery brand casino in Las Vegas. Complimenting the North Las Vegas hotel, the Eastside Cannery stays true to its historic past. The most prominent feature of the property is the 16-story bronze hotel tower featuring an exposed structural and decorative element, topped by a saw tooth roofline making it an icon for the Las Vegas Valley. There is an abundance of visual references to the burgeoning industrial era with the use of brick and steel in different locations, along with cross-braced steel facades and heavy steel open trusses. Murals depicting building amenities in a fun and nostalgic way decorate the outer walls of the property.

The inside of the Eastside Cannery Casino & Hotel is complementary to the building's architectural design. Inside, guests are transported to the age of industry. Large open truss ceilings, exposed mechanical and over-scaled detailing is throughout the property. There are elements of the past intermixed with hi-tech.

Within the new 16-story hotel tower, more than 300 guest rooms and suites feature floor to ceiling glass windows giving guests spectacular views of the mountains and the bright lights of the Las Vegas Strip. The oversized 450 square foot guest room decor and furnishings are reminiscent of the ongoing industrial theme of the property, but have a fresh 21st Century feel with wide screen plasma televisions in every room. Guests who book the corner window suites enjoy an exceptional view while soaking in their in-room spas in their 600 square foot surroundings. The five executive suites on the top floor include many amenities in their 900 square foot surroundings. There is also a Jacuzzi and a half-acre pool complete with cabanas on the property.

For meeting planners, the Eastside Cannery Casino & Hotel has 20,000 square feet of ballroom and meeting space to service a variety of meeting and convention needs. The main ballroom is 18,000 square feet, divisible into five rooms. There are two additional meeting rooms as well as two boardrooms off the main ballroom.

The Pinups Bar is a feature in the new project but the depictions of the 1950's glamour girls have made way to focus on the saucy 1960's pop art beauties with a new space age op art look. The zigzag ceiling murals depict life in the 1960's with glimpses into the ever-changing future; from imagery of man entering outer space to families riding futuristic rockets. The Eastside Cannery artwork celebrates the evolution of industry and embraces the optimism of the ever-changing future.

For a spectacular view of the city, head up to the top of the hotel for an evening of drinks, food and music in the dramatic OneSix Sky Lounge.

Las Vegas wedding on the cheap

las vegas wedding, las vegas packages

I have some good friends that had a Las Vegas wedding a few months ago. This was the second marriage for both and didn’t want all the hoopla. They did plan it and said there were many Las Vegas packages online to choose from for there Las Vegas wedding. They didn’t tell a soul, til they got back home. Most of us weren’t that surprised, we all knew that they would probably elope. My friends did have a party at their home after they got back. They didn’t even want wedding presents, we just had to bring food items for the local food bank. What a lovely idea. Being that this was the second time around, they both had everything anyway. They told the guests that the Las Vegas wedding and the mulitutude of Las Vegas deals on hotels and entertainment, made their special get-away wedding so inexpensive. This time they even did some sightseeing around Lake Mead and Hoover Dam. They wouldn’t do anything different and recommends Las Vegas as a cheap vacation for any occasion.

Kid Friendly Las Vegas Casino

las vegas casino Las Vegas Casino

When we moved to California we stopped in at Las Vegas. With two young boys I was skeptical about how we could really have fun there but we found a Las Vegas casino that was kid friendly. There were performers and rides and shows in there that catered to the little ones. We were able to enjoy a Las Vegas casino with children.

Later we walked the strip with our boys and let them look at the bright lights and listen to the different sounds. There were street vendors and jugglers and gamers everywhere. Being from a countrified area in Texas, none of us were use to such sights except perhaps on television.

Today there is a show on television that is named for that bright city. Whenever it comes on, it takes me back to our time spent at the Las Vegas casino that made the stop a pleasure not only for adults but for children as well. I remember the restaurant where we met a nice older couple who cooed over our sons. I remember keeping the boys in the room while my husband went down to the casino only to have him wake me up a couple of hours later to see if I wanted to take a turn down there while he watched the boys.

Las Vegas casinos are fun to go to and I will always remember our trip

There is nothing like a Las Vegas casino!

las vegas casinoHave you ever been to a Las Vegas casino? I never had until a few months ago, when I finally went to a Las Vegas casino with my best friend, Jeff. It was truly an amazing and exhilarating experience that made me go nuts upon entering the city. The Las Vegas casinos that they have now are really breathtaking, and they have so many different card games, table games, slots and tons of other treats for vacationers. In fact, I think that my favorite game to play at Las Vegas casinos is roulette. I just love watching them drop the ball in the spinning wheel and placing bets based upon the number and the color that it will land upon. Of course, when at a Las Vegas casino, the best part is winning some big time cash prizes. This was my first time going to a Las Vegas casino, and I did win some pretty hefty chunks of change; enough in fact to fund my entire vacation while I was there. I had so much fun, that I plan on going back to Las Vegas in a few months to try my luck once more!

Las Vegas deals abound

cheap las vegas hotels, las vegas casino

My brother and his buddies went to Las Vegas a couple of weeks ago and could not believe the Las Vegas deals that could be found. They drove there, being that we live in the Phoenix area, but there were so many cheap Las Vegas hotels to choose from. He said many hotels were offering other goodies besides low rates. There were Las Vegas coupons for entertainment, food, drinks and even gift cards. If you can’t drive there, Las Vegas packages are the way to go. You get deals galore on flights, nice hotels, restraunts and car rentals. Las Vegas casinos realize many of us don’t have the extra income to gamble plus everything else, so the hot deals on hotels and entertainment is drawing people in for a few days of fun and sun. It is truly a very reasonable, low cost vacation. Going online, you can’t help but see the savings every hotel is offering. Even the high-end hotels have great rates. Now is the time to take advantage of all the cheap deals in Las Vegas.

Flamingo Las Vegas

Cheap Hotels in Las Vegas Cheap Las Vegas hotels are a found throughout the year. Casinos lower their room prices or promote sales in order to bring people in for gambling. It works out great because visitors can find cheap hotels in Las Vegas in any of the Las Vegas strip hotels. One of the oldest and most legendary hotels is the Flamingo Las Vegas. There is currently a deal through Expedia that will afford you a room here for only 100 dollars per night. Book soon and you must be going to Vegas in mid September. This is one of those Las Vegas deals that deserves a second look.

Two More Cheap Hotels in Las Vegas Which are Rather Nice!

Viva Las Vegas, or so you thought until you found out that the hotels there were freaking ridiculously priced. The Las Vegas Hilton Is Our Favorite Place To Stay

las vegas hilton

My favorite place in the world to vacation is Las Vegas and my favorite place to stay is the Las Vegas Hilton. I would have never realized these things about myself, had I not stayed there on a whim last year. Taking a trip to the Las Vegas Hilton was the perfect idea after my long and stressful year. I just had to get away and I wanted to treat myself to something lavish and fun, I truly believe that I found the perfect place to do that.

While staying at the Las Vegas Hilton, I was pampered in so many different ways. I had spa treatments, sun-bathed by the pool and gambled in the casino, plus the views are amazing. I have never stayed in a more comfortable room at a hotel before. The beds at the Las Vegas Hilton are the most wonderful beds I have ever felt. I could not believe how well I slept while I was there, as I always have difficulties sleeping at hotels. I honestly felt like a different person by the time I was packing to leave the Vegas Hilton. I jokingly refer to that trip as the therapeutic getaway that saved my sanity!

The next time that I need a break, I will be racing to get back to my beloved Hilton in Las Vegas. I can not imagine a more perfect way to treat myself and I can not wait until I can go back.

Many locals don’t even know that this resort exist, let alone travelers. But it does and it’s lovely. If you drive east on Lake Mead Drive from Boulde

The Entertainment Capital of the World is also home to some of the most popular shows in the world. Vegas is a place that offers you a million different ways to have fun and theatre is one of those. The city never sleeps, because people often run out of time to experience the best of Vegas.

In Las Vegas, show tickets are quite pricey. However, there are a few free shows for people who would want to spend their hard-earned money elsewhere. Some of the most popular shows cost $100 and above, for the best seats. If you wish to watch a show for free, you can step into the Dueling Pianos show at New York. If the cost is not an issue, the Elton John show at Caesar’s Palace is a great option. The Barry Manilow show at the Las Vegas Hilton is also quite expensive. However, the money you spend will be well worth the entertainment that these shows offer.

The variety of shows in Vegas is mind-boggling. Making a choice can often be a Herculean task, and people mostly end up watching more than one show in a single night. Some of the most popular shows in Vegas are Ka, Zumanity, Beatles LOVE, Rick Thomas Magic show, etc.

If you are looking to go with the crowd’s favorite, you must watch the Blue Man Group, organized at the Luxor. With a combination of exceptional music and slapstick comedy, crowds love it and you would, too.

The Chippendales is another popular show among the ladies. Organized at the Rio, the show is a great choice for an exciting evening in Vegas. For the kids, the Lance Burton magic show is the ideal choice. Held at the Monte Carlo, the show also appeals to the older generation.

The Beatles LOVE show is very special and if you are a Beatles fan, you would certainly have the time of your life. Although radically different from the dazzling and creative “Cirque De Soleil” shows, the Beatles LOVE has managed to carve a niche for itself. The show pays tribute to some of the most memorable Beatles hits. McCartney and Starr have helped in creating the song list, which also includes some of their less popular songs.

Vegas is a paradise for bachelors. The Las Vegas Show Girls is perhaps one of the most frequented shows in the Sin City. With its musical bonanza and topless girls, men will get a chance to be men again!! Infamous though it may be, the music and aerobics can make for a great bachelor’s party.

Lake Las Vegas Resort

Many locals don’t even know that this resort exist, let alone travelers. But it does and it’s lovely. If you drive east on Lake Mead Drive from Boulder Highway (the new US 215 or US 95) until you see a golf course, a pond and a clubhouse on the left, and then turn left onto Lake Las Vegas Parkway and follow the road till you reach Lake Las Vegas Resort.. It’s located just 17 miles from the Strip and comprises world class hotels, golf course, spas and many more.

There are restaurants, casinos and a full service marina where you can rent watercraft rentals and take yacht cruises. And there is MonteLago Village, a maze of Italian style buildings located on a hill above the marina. Tons of luxurious suites, jewelry and leather stores, as well as fancy restaurants welcome any traveler. Montelago Casino is located atop the hill.

You can even take a gondola ride on the water of the Lake and if you are into fishing you can always choose to go fly fishing. If you happen to be at the Lake at the appropriate time you can enjoy even a concert or you can have your wedding in the romantic setting of the Lake.

Binion’s Gambling Hall & Hotel

If you want to experience the traditional Las Vegas, why not pay a visit to Binion’s Gambling Hall and Hotel in downtown Vegas. Since its opening in 1951, Binion’s has been the host of many a great occurrence in the history of gambling and poker. Binion’s wasn’t only the first casino to put in a carpet in its gambling rooms; it was also the first casino to accept games and bets more or less without upper limits, which certainly helped making Binion’s one of the most renowned brands in gambling. A lot of spectacular games have taken place on its carpets ever since. Most notably, the World Series of Poker (WSOP) started at Binion’s in 1970.

Binion’s is located on Fremont Street in the center of downtown Vegas. Two million light bulbs and over 500,000 watts of sound effects create a fantastic light show when the darkness settles over the Nevada desert. On top of the casino lies the Steak House, famous for its food.

Binion’s casino features a large selection of table games, such as single or double deck Blackjack craps with up to 5x Odds Bets, Roulette and Pai Gow Poker. The poker room spreads most of today’s popular poker games, including daily tournaments.

The nicest way of getting to and from Binion’s is probably by limo. Limos are not much more expensive that regular cabs, but they pick you up before the front door and spare you the hustle of standing in line.

Dancing in Las Vegas

I don’t know about you but when I plan to go to a new town I must check out the best places where I can dance. And since Las Vegas is the city where everything is possible, why don’t we talk little about the best places for dancing?

Studio 54 located within MGM Grand, is the place for everyone: for bungee jumpers, acrobats or wall walkers and for you and me, who love a larger-than-live discotheque. The ground floor of the club is for tourists and the upstairs houses a VIP lounge and very big dance floor. You will be amazed to see that the club is decorated with black and white photos taken at the original Studio 54 in New York City.

Ice is also one of the best clubs in town and a must-go-to club when in Las Vegas. Here you can find well known DJs such as Doc Martin, Keoki and Josh Wink, to name just a few. Very interesting is the Fur Room. Ice is a progressive dance club and is located off the Strip.

Criss Angel Believe Has a Few Tricks Up It’s Sleeve for the Strip

As the newest addition to the Las Vegas Strip, Cirque du Soleil’s Criss Angel Believe will redefine magic shows in Vegas forever. Having already signed a contract for a 10 year stint at the Luxor Hotel and Casino, Believe will be one of the longest running and most expensive shows to ever arrive in Las Vegas. Criss Angel Believe is a $100 million production that is set for its gala opening on September 12, 2008.

Created, produced, and performed by one of the most provocative artists of the 21st century, Believe is sure to play tricks with your mind. Criss Angel is an acclaimed magician and illusionist, known for his mind-blowing illusions and stunts. Angel has won the highly praised Louie Award for “Outstanding Achievement in the Art of Magic” and numerous other awards. With his hit show “Mind-Freak” under his belt, the challenge of combining his world-famous illusions with the essence of Cirque du Soleil is his newest venture.

Believe is the haunting journey into the twisted mind of Criss Angel. With Cirque du Soleil at its core, Believe will present never before seen illusions, original costumes, and choreography. As Cirque du Soleil’s sixth show on the Vegas Strip, Criss Angel says to “expect the unexpected.” “This show is beyond my wildest fantasy. It is beyond anything I can even comprehend. This show is unlike anything the world has ever seen,” says Angel.

The show is named after the late-great magician Houdini. It is said that when Houdini was on his death bed, he told his wife to never give up hope and that those that were still able to talk to him from the grave would know the pass code, which was BELIEVE. Believe plays off of this tale by floating between reality and make-believe. So, with a few tricks up their sleeve…Cirque du Soleil pulls out the ace with this production. Stop dreaming and start believing what is right before your very eyes, at Criss Angel Believe.

A photograph that would require you to break through barricades, get past bodyguards and land you in court with a restraining order in real life.
Enjoy being a modern day celebrity when Madame Tussauds in Las Vegas takes you into the spotlight as you pose with your favorite stars!

For those of us that never even made it to an American idol audition, Madame Tussauds in Las Vegas offers you a unique experience to perform in front of wax figures of Ryan Seacrest and Simon Cowell. The whole American Idol experience is enhanced by an amazing Karaoke video by Kanomi called “Karaoke Revolution Presents: American Idol,” an innovative karaoke video game that allows participants to sing and perform using a USB headset and microphone. The game allows you to compete through a re-created segment of the show. A truly unique experience that gets you a photo with everyone’s favorite rude man Simon Cowell!

If you want to take your fantasy into the realm of romance Madame Tussauds in Las Vegas has just the thing for you. At the ‘Marry Clooney’ exhibit, you can marry George Clooney at an authentic wedding chapel, Vegas style. You are allowed to don a wedding gown and walk down the aisle to George Clooney. Now imagine that picture on your writing table!

One of the biggest attractions has to be ‘Hef’ where Hugh Hefner invites visitors to “Be a bunny”. You get to don bunny ears and mix and mingle with the most popular swinging single man in entertainment history.

If Hefner is not your type you can always learn a game of Texas Hold’em Poker from Ben Affleck. There is an array of famous men to choose from!

Madame Tussauds in Las Vegas is two stories covering an area of 30,000 square feet. They have filled this space with all our favorite celebrities from the movies, sports, music and more. If you ever wanted a photo with a particular star, this is definitely the place to take it.

One attraction in particular makes this Madame Tussauds in Las Vegas particularly unique. It is the section for performers who made Las Vegas famous and added their own flavor and style to the city. These include Siegfried and Roy, Bugsy Seigel, Lance Burton, Liberace, The Rat Pack and many more.
There are 100 wax models out on the floors of Madame Tussauds Las Vegas at any given time.
This requires much care and maintenance. Models get swapped around for cleaning and these models get a hair wash as well as a touch up on make-up. Many have traveled further than some of the visitors coming to see them as they are made in London and the shipped to Las Vegas. This attraction is a truly large scale operation.

All in all the Madame Tussauds in Las Vegas is a unique experience and definitely one you want to take your camera to.

Las Vegas Star Trek, the Experience

Star Trek, The Experience is located at the Hilton Hotel in Las Vegas, but unfortunately this grand show may be closing forever on September 1, 2008. So for all you Star Trekkies out there, my advice is don’t delay! What’s more, how about staying at the Las Vegas Hilton, so that you can benefit from all that Star Trek, the Experience offers while enjoying luxury and comfort at the same time!

You can also see the Borg Invasion in four dimensions and Klingon Encounter, and eat at Quark’s Restaurant. The Las Vegas Hilton Hotel, located near the intersection of Paradise Road and Sahara Avenue, is located about 1.5 miles from the Las Vegas Strip.

Purchase a ticket before noon, when the first ride opens daily. Visitors can also walk through a Star Trek museum that has a collection of memorabilia and gadgets from the whole history of Star Trek. You will also see displays for all of the important alien species from the series, including the Klingons. At the end of the museum is a corridor which lead visitors to the rides. Dual mission ticket prices are $42.99 per person, $35.99 for children under twelve and seniors 65+, and $33.99 for Nevada residents. There are also group discount tickets. The rides close at 8:30 p.m. Your ticket entitles you to unlimited rides.

Star Trek, the Experience opened ten years ago. Much of its popularity came about because of the Star Trek: The Next Generation movies. Fans were drawn to the exhibit because it gave them a chance to examine a Trek time line with a collection of sci-fi memorabilia. Visitors could carry on a conversation with a Klingon over a drink after crossing the bridge of the Enterprise. Unfortunately, the exhibit isn’t drawing as many fans today.

The collection of props, costumed “aliens” and adventure simulators was an escape from the non-stop noise of slot machines. There isn’t any information as of now about who will fill the empty space when The Experience closes.

The Borg Invasion 4-D features live performers; the exact experience varies. This ride takes groups of about forty people. There is a Starfleet science station room that has a large view screen in front; beyond a podium are several Starfleet personnel. When entering a room that appears to be a sort of escape craft, visitors are then to put on the 3-D glasses or goggles that are available and then to take their seats. After this, the space shuttle leaves the station which is a thrilling ride for all inside and excites audiences of all ages, the shuttle then gets sucked into the “Borg Cube”. The 3-D effects are used when the front of the shuttle is blown open. Some effects include droplets of water, wind bursts and minor motion.

To experience The Klingon Encounter, you will have to enter a small room which has graphics of outer space. At the same time you can view scenes from several Star Trek movies on a tiny television screen which is placed at the upper right corner of the room.

The group of visitors will then enter an even smaller, dim room where they will wait for the simulator ride to begin. You can line up in front of the various doors, while you will be guided and directed to watch the screens above for a safety demonstration of the shuttle simulator ride. You’ll experience blackness, loud noises, many light flashes simulating the ‘transporter effect”, sound effects and cold air. After that, the lights return, and the walls, floor and ceiling will seem to have vanished leaving you on what appears to be a transporter pad. The room is a lot larger than the original room and there will not be any doors – which will only add to the experience. You are now aboard the USS Enterprise-D, a transporter room as shown in Star Trek: The Next Generation.

At the end of The Experience, you’ll be led into an elevator, and then to the Deep Space Nine Promenade and Quark’s Bar and Restaurant. I would recommend making dinner reservations prior to enjoying Star Trek, the Experience. Remember to make reservations as soon as possible, because, after September 1, 2008, this attraction will no longer exist.

The Hard Rock Cafe Las Vegas

Basically a glorified coffee shop, the Hard Rock Café Las Vegas is known for the rock memorabilia on all the walls. Located next to the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino, the atmosphere at the Hard Rock Café is very casual and relaxed. The cuisine is American, and prices are $15 or less. This is a chain restaurant, and looks like any other Hard Rock Café in any other city. Easy to find, because of an 84-foot guitar at the front of the building, the Hard Rock offers an Elvis wall, the “Tower of Power” with many LCD monitors, and a guitar display. Food includes quesadillas, Bloody Mary shrimp, huge burgers, and vegetable pasta.

The Hard Rock Hotel and Casino was built in 1995 by Peter Morton, co-founder of the Hard Rock Café franchise. It was expanded in 1999 and in 2007. On May 11, 2006, the Morgans Hotel Group signed agreements to purchase the Hotel and Casino, together with rights to use the Hard Rock name for other territories. They also purchased the Hard Rock Café.

The Hard Rock Hotel Las Vegas is known as one of the premier hotels in Las Vegas, especially among younger vacationers. Room prices range from $70 to $250 per night. Children under the age of 13 can stay in their parents’ room. Prices for the hotel’s Las Vegas suites can be very high. Rooms during weekends and holidays have higher rates. Many rooms offer “sweeping views of the street below”.

The Hard Rock Hotel has an enormous casino, with smaller lounges for higher stakes gambling. There are more than 600 slot machines on the floor of the main casino, and hundreds of gaming tables. The Peacock Lounge offers a quiet night of high stakes gambling. The Lounge offers leather seats, as well as triple digit tables. The high stakes room for slot machine gambling is the Fender Room. You can also have fun gambling in the main casino area. Table games include blackjack, roulette and poker.

There are many bars and restaurants within the hotel. The swimming area is divided into two pools, each with a different theme. Enjoy a day on a simulated beach at the Beach Club, or walk to the Palapa. This pool bar offers swim-up blackjack tables for guests who would like to gamble while they relax in the pool.

Located on Paradise Road in Las Vegas, some well-known restaurants are NOBU, A.J.’s Steakhouse, Mr. Lucky’s, and Pink Taco. Features of the property include a hotel tower, a 30,000 square-foot casino, three cocktail lounges, retail stores, a spa, and “The Joint”, a music venue. The hotel also contains over 60,000 square feet of meeting space, and over 130,000 square feet of special event space. Amenities offered in the rooms include TV with pay movies and high-speed internet access, available for a fee. There’s a parking garage attached to the hotel, which is free to guests who self-park. Valet service is also available to guests for a fee.

The Hard Rock Hotel and Casino is planning to expand again in 2009. This multi-phase project will bring in several new restaurants and bars, a nightclub, a spa and health club, and Wasted Space, a rock club. The expansion will also increase capacity at the pool, which will have new features, including a topless-bathing section. The hotel was featured in the film Con Air, and was also featured in other movies and television shows. It’s a fun place to visit, and will continue to attract many guests because of its reputation, as well as that of the Hard Rock Café.

Las Vegas Strip Hotels

Whether you are planning a short one night stay or a week’s vacation, staying at Las Vegas is going to provide you with a cultural experience. The hotels in Las Vegas are so exciting that you are going to have a difficult time deciding where to stay.

From a taste of France at the Paris where you can experience French cuisine and artwork to a taste of Egypt at the Luxor where you will gaze upon replicas of the ancient Egyptian tombs, the adventures are endless.

Located on the Strip, itself, are thirty-four different hotels, ranging from the five star hotels, complete with all of the amenities, including accommodations for your pets, to the two star hotels, which still provide at least some of the amenities, such as a pool or restaurant.

Decide whether you need the accessibility of a hotel restaurant, pool, or fitness room, the luxury of bringing your pets along with you, or the delightful experience of room service. Then, you will be able to narrow down your choice.

Even the lower ranked hotels still receive a rating on average of at least three stars.
Prices range from the high thirties to several hundred dollars a night. Many of the hotels offer special deals, such as two-for-one dinners, to entice the traveler to select their hotel for their stay.

Nothing can be more exciting than a stay on the Strip!

Excalibur Hotel and Casino

Step back into medieval times at Excalibur Hotel and Casino. Located on the South Strip, Excalibur is an imitation castle that features Renaissance entertainers. Take the stairway to the lower floor to visit the Fantasy Fair Midway and to enjoy Merlin’s Magic Motion Machine Film Ride, carnival games, storytellers, magicians, jesters, puppet shows and more.

Take in the Tournament of Kings dinner show that includes jousting knights, dragons, invading armies and fire wizards. Live bands play nightly in the Minstrel Lounge, which never closes.

Amenities at Excalibur includes room service, parking, dining, casino experiences, two swimming pools with the capacity to hold 800 guests and a spa where you will be treated like Royalty. The salon is state-of-the-art and one of the best in Las Vegas for both men and women.

If you love to golf, be sure to take in a few rounds at one of the several challenging courses in the area, or enjoy the best shopping in the city at the Medieval Village, which is located on the second level of the Excalibur Hotel and Casino. Shops include Merlin’s Mystic Shop, Dragon’s Lair, Excalibur Shoppe and more. At the $10 Boutique, you will be amazed at the things you can purchase and everything costs exactly $10.

If you’re heading to Las Vegas in the near future, I highly recommend Excalibur. It’s the experience of a lifetime.

Hotels in Vegas

The city that didn’t even existed at the start of the twentieth century, Las Vegas, is now the most dynamic city on the Earth and the most spectacular. The city has been growing because of tourism. Thirty seven million tourists come every day for the single purpose of seeing the hotels.

The hotels are way much more then a simple hotel. Most of them have, of course, a casino, different attractions, rides, swimming pools, and restaurants. They can stretch to as much as one mile from end to end.

You are the king in Las Vegas hence anything you need you will be provided. It’s not the best idea to come looking for cheap accommodation because basically in Vegas nothing is cheap. However there are some top 10 hotels that can offer a room for $29.28 per person per night.

Top 1 hotel is Bellagio, with prices starting at $159 per night, this 5 stars hotel offers more then you can think. It has a casino and a convention center. A must not miss are the Fountains that display great shows of music, water and lights. It also offers fine dining, an art gallery and a botanic garden, among many more.

The Hotel at Mandalay Bay is ranked #2 and is a 4 stars hotel with prices starting from $99.95 per night. You can shop, play and of course dine here. It has a sport and entertainment complex, a lot of pools, 11 restaurants and two wedding chapels (for those who want to say the “I do”)

White Tiger Habitat at the Mirage Hotel

The tigers are bred by the world’s famous magicians Siegfried and Roy. The magicians dedicated their lives to preserving the white tigers and helped save them from extinction.

The white tigers are white with black strips, pink paws and blue eyes, unlike the conventional tigers that have black strips and gold markings. The purest animals are white with no stripes at all. They are even rarer than the panda bears as there are only a few dozens white tigers in the world.

The habitat was designed specially for them and provides great views for the visitors. The tigers can roam free in the environment that even has a swimming pool. The tigers are rotated throughout the day and while they are not in the habitat they have their own spacious living quarters. The white walls provide great “blending grounds” for the white tigers. The whole habitat is designed to have mountain terrain which insured the tigers have fun and the visitors enjoy watching them. There is also a waterfall and some fountains. The special slanted glass that surrounds the habitat helps to control the temperature. It also eliminates glare and offer great viewing.

The White Tigers Habitat at the Mirage represents a rare chance to watch these beautiful and graceful felines.
